I need to preface this review by saying that it is super long, but worth the read! I, a pregnant woman with two kids in tow, came into the shop without a man. I have definitely had shops in the past try to take advantage of the fact that I am a woman and therefore assume I know nothing about cars (this assumption would be true, btw) and try to scam me or scare me into thinking if I don't fix X,Y, and Z my car will break down on me. I had taken our car into the Nissan dealer and was told I needed to get $2,000 worth of repairs. I took it to Oswald and they told me that some of the things the dealership told me that needed fixed really didn't need to be fixed, and that my total would be about $800. Jesse was fantastic. He explained to me what he would do if it were his car. He never used scare tactics and he was never pushy. I opted to get a few extra things done to my car, making my total bill about $1,000, still HALF of what I would have paid elsewhere, with the extra services that I added on. We set an appointment for a few days later to get everything fixed. I was all packed up with snacks and drinks and a stroller and toys, ready to hunker down and spend all day at the shop while our car was getting fixed, because we only have one car and my husband was gone for some military training. Before I even got my kids out of the car, Jesse came out to meet me and told me that he could have one of the guys give me a ride home and then take the car back to the shop, and then come pick us up when they were done, since the car wouldn't be done fore several hours. Man was I relieved!! What a blessing. Jake drove us home and picked us up and was so nice and friendly. When we got back to the shop Jesse again came out to meet us and my 3 year old ran up to him and he scooped her up and talked to her and took her inside like they were the best of friends. I didn't know you could get the warm and fuzzies from taking your car to the shop, but I totally did and I will never take my car anywhere else. From the honesty, to the service, to the way they interacted with my children, it was such a good experience. Do not take your car anywhere else.
