Edit: These guys reached out to me 4/6/22 about resolving this. I appreciate them being willing to follow up. Just think we got our wires crossed in communication and I picked up my truck on a Saturday when there was no one to work with. Hence the review. In between the pick up date and the date they reached out, I've made adjustments to account for the circuit stuff and overall my pickup runs great! Oswald's does quality work! Furthermore, they will follow up and stand behind their work. Much appreciated fellas. __ I've taken my truck to Oswald's for years now so I do think they perform quality work. My most recent experience was a let down. It's an older truck (2001) and I understand these things have a life span. I'd thought they were doing a great job of communicating what the issue was, the fix needed, and the expected side effects of taking certain actions. I had an issue where my truck wouldn't start. I was told the issue was the fuel pump as well as a circuit draining my battery. They replaced the fuel pump, which was the expensive piece, and cut the circuit. I was on board with everything and explicitly asked beforehand about any weirdness that could happen from cutting the circuit. It was explained to me that the radio would be all that I lose. I get a ride to Rexburg this morning and my truck works! Kind of. None of the dashboard items work (speedometer, fuel gauge, etc.) Driving the truck as is I'll be risking a ticket and at night worse. I wasn't really convinced that I needed a new fuel pump but I understand their explanation. A lot of things a play -- old truck, mixed communication but overall just disappointed.
Pedro, it's disturbing for us to hear this too - we certainly don't want you in an unsafe situation. We stand by our work and will gladly resolve this issue for you. We were hopeful to get the truck back in but we didn't see you for your scheduled appointment. We appreciate your business over the years and we apologize that you are disappointed in your experience with us. We'd still love the opportunity to make it right.
